Yes. We are putting out the expense to have the performances and group activities so we do ask that you book through LoveDee’s Cruises. Access to the concerts and group activities are exclusively for our group. We aren’t charging extra for the concerts though. The price you pay is going to be the same or better than what you can get booking directly with NCL or going through another agency.
We can only book flights through the cruise line. If you want to book a flight directly with the airline you would need to do that yourself. We would typically recommend booking through the cruise line but we suggest you read that question below on whether we think you should book through NCL or not.
We highly recommend that you have a passport to travel. If you use your passport, it must be valid for the entirety of your trip. Because the cruise departs and returns to the same US port, it is possible to travel using your Real ID and a certified copy of your birth certificate. If for any reason you have to get back into the US by land though, this will present a huge problem and you will need to work with the embassy to secure a passport before being permitted back into the country. For more information click here for the state department site.
Service animals are only permitted if they are needed for guidance. Emotional support animals are not permitted. The cruise line must be notified in advance that you will be bringing an animal on board.

No. You only need to put down the deposit to hold your cabin and lock in the price. You can make payments at any time as long as it is paid off prior to the final payment date, 4 months before the cruise departure date.
That is where having a travel agent really pays off. Especially if you haven’t been on a cruise before. There are so many options and it’s different for everyone. This is one of those topics where everyone will have strong opinions but in the end, it depends on your priorities, your preferences and what type of vacationer you are. Over the years we have staid in every type of room so give us a call and by asking you a few questions about your preferences we can guide you to the perfect cabin for you.
Because it’s a free perk, and you are only paying gratuities, if you plan to drink more than a couple drinks a day, it’s a good deal. If you aren’t going to drink that much, you will receive a $100 on board credit to offset the few drinks you may have.
119 - 92 days before sailing - Final Payment is due and there is a 25% penalty for cancelling
90-61 days before sailing - 50% penalty
60-31 days before sailing - 75% penalty
30 days or less before sailing - 100% penalty
We HIGHLY recommend purchasing insurance!
These are gratuities given to the room stewards, main dining staff, buffet staff and the rest of the crew around the ship that is making your cruise incredible.
Yes, the staff at the bars and in the specialty restaurants receive the gratuities that are given to them as people buy drinks or eat there. Because so many people receive the drink and dining packages, this pays for those gratuities all at once. When you get all those free drinks, the gratuities are already paid. (Unless you want to tip more.)
The crew gratuities will automatically be added to your final bill if you don’t want to prepay for them. We add them to the charges for our cruises so that everything is paid for and there are no surprises at the end. If you don’t want us to add them, just let us know. The drink package and dining package gratuities are added when we add the packages and must be paid in advance.
We regularly monitor the price of the cruise and will have the price adjusted if it goes down. If you notice a price change, let us know. Once the final payment date has passed, the price cannot be adjusted.
It is recommended that you reserve dining and entertainment reservations prior to cruising to ensure you get to do everything you want to do. If once you are on the cruise you want to change that, they will do everything possible to accommodate you.
You already know our answer to this. YES! We can give you story after story of clients that have lost 1,000s of dollars when the unexpected happened. The NCL insurance is very reasonable for the coverage you get. Find out more here and let us know if you would like a quote.
Normally, we highly recommend booking your air through the cruise line and if you want to use NCL to book your flight in the normal way, we also recommend it from them. There are some big advantages to booking your flight through the cruise line in most cases. We also like to be transparent with our clients though and if you are looking at the discounted or free airfare NCL offers on select cruises, we are going to be honest and tell you we don’t recommend it. You don’t get to pick your airline, times, layovers or seat. You will probably have multiple stops and massive, (like 7 hour) layovers. Not only will you not be able to pick your seat and will end up way back on the plane in the middle row across from the bathroom, but you won’t even be able to pay to upgrade it. With that said, if you are willing to accept the inconvenience to get the really good deal, then by all means, but we don’t recommend it and we ask you not base our review on it when posting to Google. :)
Depending on LA traffic it could take anywhere between 4 - 6 hours to get to the port from Las Vegas. Please ensure you are giving yourself enough time in worst case scenario.
You can fly into the Long Beach Airport (LGB) or Los Angeles Airport (LAX). They are both about the same distance from the port. Long Beach is a much smaller airport and easier to get in and out of but you will have more options at LAX.
When checking in for the cruise they will ask you what time you will be arriving. You must show up at or later than the time chosen to avoid congestion at the port. You must be on board the ship at least 1 hour before departure at 4:00pm.
Yes, there is outdoor parking at the cruise port. The last time we were there is was $20 per day to park but as with most things, that may change before we get there.
Choose one of the recommended hotels you would like to book and we can make the reservation for you.
Even before it is time to check in, we recommend you go to NCL and create an account. During the process of creating your account they will ask if you have a cruise already booked and if you are working with a travel agent. They will then ask for the confirmation number. This will tie your confirmation to your new account. Once logged in, you can view a lot of the options for your up coming cruise, including excursions, dining options, and general information on your cruise. When it is time to check in, Approximately 21 days before the cruise, you will receive an email asking you to check in. Log back into your account and they will walk you through the process, including adding your documents, credit card for onboard purchases, arrival times, taking your picture and more. If you have any questions, please let us know and we can assist.
We highly recommend that you have a passport to travel. If you use your passport, it must be valid for the entirety of your trip. Because the cruise departs and returns to the same US port, it is possible to travel using your Real ID and a certified copy of your birth certificate. You are permitted to bring one bottle of wine on board the ship for special occasions. It will be held for you and enjoyed at one or more of your diners. Please note, there will be a corkage charge for this service. Other than that, no alcohol or dinks of any kind are permitted to be brought on the cruise with you in checked or carry on bags. Alcohol that is identified will be held until the end of the cruise.
Although most items are paid for, there are some items that are additional. Drinks and specialty restaurants outside of the packages are extra including soda and juices. Specialty coffees are also extra and not included in the drink package. Gambling and gambling games such as slot tournaments, bingo, Deal or No Deal are all extra. The race track and laser tag both have a small charge to play.
Unlike some other cruise lines, NCL doesn’t have a set time for dining. You make reservations to fit your schedule each day for the main complimentary and specialty dining similar to how you would do it on land. You may also go to any restaurant and if they have space they will seat you. Some, such as the Local or the Garden Cafe are first come, first served.
Although they say dress the way you want, there are some basic rules. In the specialty and main dining rooms you can wear casual attire but you cannot wear jeans with holes or tears, sleeveless shirts on men or flip flops. Other than that they are pretty casual everywhere. They will have a few nights where they invite you to dress up but it is not required. For the shows and activities, there is no dress code.
There are theme nights. We will posting information on them as we get closer to the cruise. It is typically a glow party or white party.
Smoking is in limited spots on deck only and in parts of the casino. There are no other places in doors, cabins or on balconies where smoking is permitted.
On this cruise, there is one tender port in Cabo San Lucas. This means you will take a small boat from the ship to the land. You must be able to board the small boat on your own without assistance to go ashore. You are free to bring walkers, canes or foldable wheel chairs but you must be able to board the boat.
We have created a page to show some options for hotels depending on your preferences. Visit this site.
